Helen Swinson, 82, of Oswego died Monday October 31, 2016 in the Oswego Hospital. She was born in November 1, 1933, in Fulton the daughter of the late Richard and Marie (Elkin) Barton. Mrs. Swinson was predeceased by her husband Cloudie Swinson in 2007, sons Ronald Swinson, Claude Swinson, and daughter Yvonne Nye. Mrs. Swinson was a loving mother, and is survived by her children David (Yon) Swinson of TN, Rodney Swinson of Batavia, Michael Swinson of Oswego, Gregory Swinson of AL, her sister Agnes Familo of FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Hana, Sana, KatieMarie, LeeAnn, and Zachary. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be conducted Thursday 3:00 to 6:00 a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West 4th St. Oswego, NY 13126.
Such a sweet and special lady. She gave a lot of love to all of us kids. Even though I was too young to really remember her when we left NY, I remember her kindness, My dad would always reminisce about her & Claudie so I feel like in some ways I knew them. Her loss will be felt across many states.
Third Cousin Helen you will be extremely missed!
