William B. Madill Jr.


William B. Madill Jr., 84, of Oswego died Thursday, February 1, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness.

Bill was born in Punxsutawney, PA the son of the late William and Catherine (McGinnis) Madill Sr. His family moved to Buffalo where he lived most of his life, until moving to Oswego in 1983. He was a life member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local # 22, Buffalo, having worked on numerous jobs. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 until 1964. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, his hobby was working and making stained glass, which he would share with family and friends. Most of all Bill loved spending time with family and friends, especially watching Jeopardy.

He was predeceased by his life partner Mary J. Whalen.

Bill is survived by his children Theresa (Steven) Woolson of Oswego; Michelle Kingsley of SC; Michael Whalen; of Oswego; Donna Whalen of Oswego; Colleen Whalen of Colorado, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Nora Pulinski of Tonawanda, and his brother Michael Madill of Tonawanda.

Funeral services and burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery will be private.
