Vivian G. Hartley

Vivian G. Hartley, died Thursday at home peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Kingston Ontario, Canada, and has been a resident of the Oswego area for the past forty years. Mrs. Hartley worked in the Bakery department at Tops Friendly Markets for many years and Westons. She was a dedicated volunteer at St. Luke Health Services and enjoyed playing the piano for the residents. Mrs. Hartley knitted mittens for the children in the Head Start Program. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Hartley in 1999 and her son H. Gordon Hartley in 2010. She is survived by her children Patricia (Jack) Drawbridge of Ottawa, Joanne Hartley of British Columbia, Bill Hartley of Arkansas, Bob (Kari) Hartley of Arkansas, Matthew (Kelli) Hartley of Oswego, sister Lois (Art) Phillips of Landsdown Ontario, twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth St. Oswego. Burial will be private in Ontario, Canada. The family request contributions be made to Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
