Robert A. Tretsch Sr.

Robert A. Tretsch Sr., 92; of Fulton died Thursday, December 2nd at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Andrew A. and Clara (Kraus) Tretsch. He has been a lifetime resident of Fulton. Mr. Tretsch was a United States Veteran having served in the Army during WWII. Mr. Tretsch owned and operated Bob’s Exxon Service, Fulton, NY for 40+ years. After he retired he returned to his roots and began farming. He enjoyed selling produce and birdseed from “Mr. T’s” his roadside stand. Mr. Tretsch was pre-deceased by his wife Wava Tretsch in 1991. He is survived by his children Robert A. (Feroza) Tretsch Jr. of Daytona, FL, and Sharlene (Henry) Thompson of Rockledge, FL, his companion of 18 years: Hilda Pomeroy of Fulton, his sister Barbara Dubiel of Syracuse, 8 grandchildren: Robert III, Levi, Jesse, Richelle, Ronald Jr., Renee, Robbie, and Randy, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 9:00 AM Monday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., and 9:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton where the Fulton VFW #569 Honor Guard will give military honors. Calling hours will be conducted 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
