Todd E. Gates, 52, of Oswego died Tuesday October 13, 2020, at his home with his family comforting him by his side. Todd was born in Syracuse the son of Helen Colby of Oswego and Leslie Gates of PA. Todd was a self-employed truck driver. He was an online gamer where he enjoyed playing against many worthy opponents, and defeating them. Todd enjoyed being by the water spending time with family at Puts Pond, Lake Ontario, and Osceola Creek.

Todd is survived by his loving family, his finance Wendy “Lovey” Gioia of Oswego, his children Megan (Willis Kindred) Stocker of PA, Ashley Heisler of PA, Hannah (Edward) Mienke of NC, Jasmine Heywood of Fulton, and stepson Jacob Weigand of Oswego; his parents Helen (James) Colby of Oswego, Leslie (Betty) Gates of PA. He is also survived by his sisters Tammy Gates of NC, Trisha (Ted) Wilder of Palermo, and Sarah (Joe Rivera) Colby of Oswego, his maternal grandmother Helen Race of Hannibal. Todd is also survived by his grandchildren Kaylee Stocker, Kyle Stocker, Karmela Stocker, Dwayne Kindred, Priscilla Kindred, Jason Williams Jr., Ian Williams, Evelyn Ann Heisler, Katalina Meinke. Todd was predeceased by his daughter Tiffany Heisler, his maternal grandfather Martin Race and paternal grandparents Carroll and Irene Gates.

In accordance with Todd’s wishes there will be no services.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.

Donations may be made in Todd’s name to the Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
