Richard A. Place, 58; formerly of Fulton passed away peacefully at his home in Dryden, NY. Mr. Place was born in Fulton, NY and he has been a resident of the Ithaca, NY area since 1975. He retired from Cornell University after 30+ years of employment. He was an avid Cowboys fan. Mr. Place was a quiet and kind person who will be deeply missed by his family. He was pre-deceased by his father Harry Place. Mr. Place is survived by his mother Mary R. (Bevacqua) Place of Fulton, 3 siblings: Gary Place of Jacksonville, FL, Gerry (Nancy) Place of Newfield, NY; and Ben (Sharon) Place of Fort Myers, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Noon, Saturday, September 17th at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating. Burial will be held privately. There will be no calling hours.
Rick was a very sweet, gentle man and he will be missed.
