Joseph Flack 89, of Oswego and more recent of the town of Orwell, died Tuesday at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sterling the son of the late Floyd and Rose (Walrath) Flack. Mr. Flack retired in June 1990 from Nestle’s Co. Fulton after many years of service. He served in the United States Army from 1945 until 1947 during World War II. Mr. Flack is survived by his wife Doris (Knopp) Flack of Orwell, and daughters Lorraine Lamb of TX, Pamela (Gary) Sheffield of Orwell, Mary Quade of N. Syracuse, his sister Margaret (John) Grela of Oswego, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Flack was predeceased by his daughter JoAnne Murdoch, granddaughter Shelley McQuaid and his sister Mary Spaulding. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
