Silvio Farfaglia

Silvio Farfaglia, 85; of Fulton died Friday at University Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Fulton to the late Isodore and Antonia (Torre) Farfaglia. Mr. Farfaglia retired in 1988 from Sealright Co., where he worked as an engineer. During his tenure at Sealright Co., Mr. Farfaglia was awarded 15 patents. He was a member of the Fulton Polish Home, and Sealright Recreational Club, and he was a past member of the Italian American Club and the Fulton Elks Lodge. Mr. Farfaglia was inducted in 1986 into the Bowling Hall of Fame and he was also the treasurer of the Fulton Boosters Club from 1969 to 1971. Mr. Farfaglia also enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Angela Farfaglia of Fulton, 4 children: Christine (Steve) Goebert of Newark, NY, Edward (Carole) Farfaglia of Fulton, Jim Farfaglia of Fulton, Silvan (Paul) Johnson of Fulton, 1 sister Jean Ann (Paul) Wise of Fulton, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
