Shirley M. Keil, 81; of Hannibal, NY passed away peacefully after a short illness at home with her family by her side. Mrs. Keil was born in Fulton, NY to the late Charles and Helen (Conner) Van Patten. She has been a resident of Hannibal for over 40 years. Mrs. Keil worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Harwood Nursing Home, Oswego for 19 years and then she worked in home health care. After retirement, she decided to go back to work with the Latchkey Program at Farley Elementary School, Hannibal, NY. Mrs. Keil loved going to the casino, gardening, knitting, crocheting and sewing. In her younger years, she loved moving to new and different places. She was predeceased by her daughter Rhonda Furlong in 2012 and her husband Ken Keil in 2014. Mrs. Keil is1 survived by her 5 children: Cindy Falter of Rochester, NY; Todd Richardson of Red Creek, NY; Lisa Kinville, of Fulton, NY; Justin Richardson of CA, and Teddy Richardson of Fulton, NY; her sister Linda Laning of NC; 15 grandchildren: Kari Falter, Melissa Stout, Aaron Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Nigel Furlong, Amber Furlong, Tiffany Furlong, Jeremiah Kinville, Jacob Kinville, Joel Kinville, Nicholas Kinville, Sarah Kinville, Cody Richardson, Jenna Richardson, and Chase Richardson; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held 9:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Derek Loperfido officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, NY
