Sheree Rae (Hewitt) Griswold, 69, of Fulton, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by her family.
Sheree was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Donald and Rene (Ellis) Hewitt. She was predeceased by her sister, Kellee, and has a loving sister Vickee who walked her through all the easy days and the hard. She always put her family first and taught her children that family, above all, was the most important part of life. She loved spending time with her husband, Curt, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Cooking and baking were among her favorite pastimes. Walking into her and Curt’s home, you were always welcomed with a sweet or savory aroma that simply felt like home.
Sheree was a proud employee of the Fulton Junior High School for 25 years—a place she loved and where she made a profound impact on her coworkers and students alike. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting with her Cricut, gardening, camping, and weekend trips to the Finger Lakes. Her kind, spunky, and loving demeanor was tangible, with a smile that would light up a room. Growing up, all of her children’s friends said Sheree felt like a safe space—she opened her home to everyone, always cooking extra food and ready to pull more chairs up to the dinner table.
Sheree lived by the words Just Be Kind, and she truly embodied them every day. Even through her struggles she remained positive, resilient, and never complained. Her energy, light, and love are truly unmatched.
She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her family—her husband of 41 years, Curtis Griswold of Fulton; her children, Brandon (Tina) Harris of Sterling, Bradley (Jill) Harris of LaFayette, Gregory (Rachna) Griswold of Connecticut, Zachary (Breanna) Griswold of N. Syracuse, and Meg (Kieran) Farrell of Fulton; her sister, Vickee (Terry) Davis of Canada; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sisters- and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday, November 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local food pantry.

Our Aunt Sheree will be greatly missed by everyone. She wore her heart on her sleeve as a badge of honor. She gave her love freely to all she met. She was a strong person, as evident in the last couple years as she navigated through everything she did to try and get better. She face all these challenges not only with a smile on her face, but a happiness in her voice & heart. We are better people for having known her and we are all blessed that she was part of our family.
We will miss you so much.
Love,
Daniel and Karen Greco
