Nataleen Ferlito, 94, of Cherry Street, Oswego died Thursday morning peacefully with her family at her side. Mrs. Ferlito was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Ponto) Losurdo. She was a former employee of the Diamond Match Factory, Ostead Foundation, Conn Knitting Mill, and Breneman Hartshorn, Oswego. She was a member of the Ostomy Society, and a dedicated member of St. Joseph Church. Mrs. Ferlito was an avid weather watcher, enjoyed baking, sewing and reading, and reveled in the company of her family and friends. Mrs. Ferlito was predeceased by her husband John Ferlito March 9, 1993. She is survived by her son John (Carol) Ferlito of Oswego, daughter Angela (Paul) Voninski of Mexico, sister Kathleen (Frank) Mazzoli of Oswego and grandchildren Renee Ferlito, Tamara and Aleksandr Voninski, one great granddaughter, Vanessa and a great grandson, Axel. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 8:15 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oswego Public Library for the purchase of large print books.
