
Michael C. Nettles, 61, of Oswego, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in the Oswego Hospital after a brief illness.
Michael was born in Oswego, the son of the late Charles and Barbara (Crisafulli) Nettles. He has been a machine operator for Huhtamaki in Fulton for the past ten years. Michael was fondly remembered as a storyteller and lover of music, as well as a fan of Bills football and fishing. Michael was the loving and extremely dedicated father of Amanda Nettles of Oswego, as well as brother of his siblings Mary Jo Nettles of CA, Pamela (Nicholas) Trbovich of Buffalo; Patricia (Randall) Young of Watertown; John Nettles of Oswego, and several cousins especially Raymond Nettles whom he considered his best friend and cousin.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home with Rev. John Canorro. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.

I’m so very sorry to hear about Mike’s passing. I have fond memories of him from when we were all in High school together. He and MaryJo and I always used to walk to school together (when we’d let MJ’s younger brother walk near us.) I’d wait for them at the corner of E 9th and Utica as they walked up the hill.
