Mary Ann Castaldo, 88, of West Ninth St. Oswego died Tuesday December 13, 2011 at the home of her brother and sister-in-law Dominic and Roseanne Castaldo. Ms. Castaldo was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Domenic and Anna (Sperino) Castaldo. Ms. Castaldo was employed with Sealright in Fulton for twenty years before going to work at General Electric in Syracuse where she continued her employment until her retirement. Ms. Castaldo was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, a member of St. Joseph Choir for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. In addition to being predeceased by her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Angelo Castaldo, James Castaldo, Samuel Castaldo, Rev. Raymond Castaldo, Richard Castaldo, and sister Celia Godici. Ms. Castaldo is survived by her brothers Louis (Cynthia) Castaldo of Oswego, Joseph (Alma) Castaldo of Oswego, Dominic (Roseanne) Castaldo of Hurley, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 9:00 a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home 147 West 4th St. Oswego.
