Marjorie Moore

Marjorie Moore, 87; of Fulton died at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. She was born in Fulton to the late William and Marie (McGovern) Chapman. Mrs. Moore was a School Teacher working with the Fulton Consolidated School System at Phillips Street School for 25 years. She was a past communicant of Holy Family Church. Mrs. Moore was an avid bridge player and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was a huge fan of Syracuse Sports and the NY Yankees. Mrs. Moore was pre-deceased by her husband John Moore, daughter Kathleen Moore Hall and sister Helen Chapman Arnold. She is survived by her sons: Kevin (Diane) Moore of CA, and Tim Moore of Fulton, her son-in-law Bob Hall of Central Square, and brother William Chapman of Fulton, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday, December 28th at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St. PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057-0007. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

  1. Mrs. Moore was not only my favorite teacher, she was the reason I chose to become a teacher. What a treat it was to start my career at Phillips Street and have the opportunity to work with her. She always made lunchtime fun with her great sense of humor and quick wit. She was a grand lady and will be missed.
