
AUSTIN, TEXAS- Lorraine (Flack) Lamb,66 of Adams Center, NY and more recent of Austin, TX passed away April 13, 2017. Lorraine had been battling colorectal cancer for the past three years and was in hospice care.
She was born June 23,1950 in Oswego, NY. Lorraine was the second eldest daughter of the late Joseph Flack and Doris (Knopp) Flack of Oswego and Orwell, NY. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Mel Walrath, of Austin, TX; daughter Ashley (Andrew) Middlestate, of Austin, TX; and son Joseph Walrath of Austin, TX; her mother, Dorris Flack, of Orwell, NY; her sister Pamela (Gary) Sheffield, of Orwell, NY; her sister Mary Quade, of North Syracuse; two nephews; and four nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews. All with whom she loved dearly.
Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Joseph Flack; first husband, Tom Lamb; eldest son, Thomas Joseph Lamb; her eldest sister, JoAnne Murdoch; her niece, Shelley McQuaid.
Lorraine lived a beautiful life, filled with love, joy and happiness. Her spunk will be missed terribly but will never be forgotten. Her spirit will live within us and be beside us each path our lives take us. Rest is peace dear angel as your love never dies.
Calling hours will be Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 10:00 – 12:00PM, at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego. A Catholic Service will follow immediately after at 12PM with no burial. Lorraine has asked for only bright colors to be worn in celebration of her life rather in mourn for her.

Ashley I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing my sincere sympathy to you & your family. Lorraine & I enjoyed talking often on the phone. I am Helen Buican & Michele Buican daughter & sister. My name is Barbara Gehring. I did not know your address or hers or your name. I had tried calling her cell & it was disconnected. My sister passed last June. She is now in heaven with my sister My mother spoke of you often especially when you did her hair & nails.
Lorraine , also had a spark in her life no matter how things was,it was there. She was a beautiful friend. Prayers be with the family.

Mel, we are so sorry to hear of Lorraine’s passing. My family met her when she worked for Seniors Helping Seniors. She took very good care of my mother and continued to stay in touch after she moved to Texas. We considered her a good friend and will miss her very much. Tom and Peggy Liptrott
