Josephine N. Goodman, 77, of Oswego died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse after a sudden illness. Mrs. Goodman was born in Bronx, NY and has been a resident of Oswego for the past forty-five years. Mrs. Goodman received her Bachelors Degree from Oswego State University, and her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Indiana. She was a teacher in Bloomington, Indiana, Albuquerque, NM, and Rolla, Missouri, before moving to Oswego where she was a substitute teacher for the Oswego School District. Mrs. Goodman is survived by her husband Sheldon Goodman of Oswego, and her children Shereen Tyrrell of North Reading, MA, Stefanie Morley of Oswego, and Marc Goodman of Stanford, CT, and her grandchildren Anthony, Abagail, Michael, Madeleine, Ryan, and Meredith. Funeral services were held privately. Contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare of your choice, no cards or flowers please. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
