Josephine M. Izyk, 95, of Fulton died Tuesday August 2, 2016 in Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center, Oswego. Mrs. Izyk was born in Fulton the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Terlecki) Tryniski. She was a former employee with General Electric in Syracuse, and Nestle’s Co., Fulton. Mrs. Izyk was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Fulton, a past member of St. Michael’s Church Choir, and Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Fulton Community Chorus, and the Fulton PLAV. Mrs. Izyk enjoyed gardening, embroidery, and latch hooking rugs. She was predeceased by her husband Francis P. Izyk in 2006, and her daughter-in-law Meridth in 2014. Mrs. Izyk is survived by her son James Izyk of Fulton, her sister Helen (Richard) Burton of TX, grandchildren John (Michelle) Izyk, Joanne Izyk, Cheryl Rathmann, and Cassandra Izyk. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren Natalie, Victoria, Trevor, Ethan, Alina, and Eliana, 2 step great granddaughters: Hannah, and Casey. Funeral Services and Burial were held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours were also held privately at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton, NY.
Please accept my condolences, James, upon the death of your mother. It was a privilege to be able to meet her and visit her at Pontiac in Oswego. May she rest in the Lord’s peace. And, take comfort in the words of the Apostle Paul, “Love never ends.” Our love endures beyond loss.
