George W. Beckwith, 78, of Fulton, died Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Beckwith was the son of the late Millard and Betty Beckwith, and he has been a life resident of Fulton. Mr. Beckwith was cost accountant for Nestle’s Co., Fulton for forty years. He was a member of the Fulton’s Lions and the Fulton’s Men’s Choir. He is survived by his loving family Margaret White Beckwith of Fulton his wife of Forty-six years and sons George (Christine) Beckwith of Fulton, Bill (Sue) Beckwith of Fulton, brother Millard Beckwith Jr. of Fulton. In addition he is survived by his much-loved grandchildren Megan, Courtney, Austin, Callie, and Evan, several nieces and nephews and his loved grand-dog Brandy. Spring burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, with a graveside services. A gathering for family and friends will follow the cemetery services in the spring. Donations may be made in George’s name to the Fulton Athletic Boosters Club C/O Dan Shue 31 Aspen Cove LN, Fulton NY 13069. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar Funeral Home 224 West Second Street, Fulton.
