Frederick W. Foley

Frederick W. Foley, 85; passed peacefully from his earthly life to live fully with God. He was born in Oswego, NY to the late William and Doris (Moys) Foley. Mr. Foley was happily married for 63 years to his wife, Frances (Heppell) Foley in Fulton where they raised their four daughters. Mr. Foley was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy during WWII stationed in the Pacific Theater. He was past employed with Sealright, and Lake Shore Transportation. Mr. Foley retired from Al-can where he worked as the transportation manager. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Fulton and currently Holy Trinity Parish. He was actively involved with his catholic faith and his faith and love of the Blessed Virgin Mary were of utmost importance. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Council #254 and he was Past Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Foley was also an avid golfer. He and his wife enjoyed many winters of retirement in Myrtle Beach, SC. As a Syracuse University alumni, Mr. Foley passionately followed SU sports. He was also a fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees. Mr. Foley was pre-deceased by his brother Jack Foley. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Frances (Heppell) Foley, daughters: Jeanne (Alex) Arnold-Jeffress, Carol (Michael) Cappelletti, Susan (James) Suydam, Trish (Jerome) Lass, brother William (Gloria) Foley, 9 grandchildren: Aaron Arnold, Katelin Arnold, Jason, Mike and Stephen Cappelletti, Sabrina Ervin, Sarah Scipione, Patrick Suydam, and Allison Kerwin, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sister-in-law Carmen (Edwin) Baron, cousin Leo (Doris) Porter, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 9:00 AM Saturday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., and 9:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial and committal services will be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Wirkes. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton
