Frederick John Leppert, 96; of Fulton passed away at his home Thursday November 10th. He was a longtime resident of Fulton, NY having been born June 24, 1920 in Oswego, NY to the late Frederick Otto John and Catherine (Somers) Leppert. During his teen years Frederick enjoyed playing the accordion at dances with local friends. Later he lived in Rochester, NY where he apprenticed and learned the tool and die skills. Upon returning to Fulton he and his wife Frances began Leppert Machine Tool Company, Fulton which remained a joint effort for 50 years. Frederick was a past volunteer in charitable works within his community working with the Lions Service Club, and Y Industrial Management Club and the Fulton Chamber of Commerce. He was very involved with politics and always enjoyed campaigning for his favorite candidate. He also ran for public office successfully and served as the Supervisor for the Town of Granby. Frederick was an avid pilot for most of his adult life and he served as a Commissioner for the Oswego County Airport. Frederick was pre-deceased by his wife Frances (Williamson) Leppert in 2013, and four sisters: Catherine, MaryRita, Dorothy and Ruth Arlene. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-laws: Sandra and William Wing of SC, and Cheryl and Robert McCall of Cutchogue, NY, 4 grandchildren: Beau, Freddy, Kristin, and Robert, and 8 great grandchildren: Karl, Jessica, Amanda, Matthew, Robert, Emmett, Christopher, and William. Funeral Services will be held 12:30 PM Monday at the
Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., Fulton with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. The family has requested that donations may be made to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, PO Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126.

Sorry for your loss, he was a great man, father and grandfather, uncle and friend.
We have a lots of special family memories with him.
