Catherine Giannetto

Catherine Giannetto, 74; of Martville, NY died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, November 18th at Francis House, Syracuse, NY. She was born in Fulton to the late Arthur and Ruthalene (Beebe) Smith. She has remained a resident of Martville for most of her life. Mrs. Giannetto was past employed with Nestles, Co., Fulton for 10 years before retiring in 1996 from Hutchins Psychiatric Center, Syracuse, NY for over 16 years. She was a member of the Fulton Moose Lodge, and a past member of the Italian American Club. Mrs. Giannetto was an avid bowler and longtime member of the Fulton YMCA and First United Church of Fulton. She loved her family, friends, and her animals. Mrs. Giannetto was pre-deceased by her “little Guinea” Joseph R. Giannetto Sr. in April of 2006 and sister: Lillian Klock. She is survived by her 2 children: Joseph R. Giannetto Jr., of Fulton, Sally Giannetto Parkhurst of Fulton, brother: Ronald (Diane) Smith of Eastwood, NY, 5 grandchildren: Racquel (Jim) Keller, Kasey Jo (Michael) Parkhurst, Morgan Alise Parkhurst, Eddie Parkhurst, and Rachel Parkhurst, 2 great grandchildren: Jimmy Keller III, Colton Keller, several nieces and nephews and her little friends Katerina, Angel and Muffin. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, 1:30 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton where Rev. Meredith Williams will be officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted Sunday 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc.
