Anthony P. “Tony” Ferro, 73; of Fulton passed after a short illness at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Ferro was born in Fulton, NY and raised by the late Dominic Ferro, Mary Jane (Stevens) Weinstein and his stepfather Peter Weinstein. He remained a lifetime resident of Fulton and was previously employed with General Electric, Syracuse, Birdseye, Fulton, and Fulton Scrap Metal. Tony enjoyed watching auto racing and playing golf. His absolute favorite was playing horseshoes and he was a member of several competition leagues over the course of several years. Tony is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years: Roberta Ferro of Fulton, their children: Ernest Paul (Tonia) Ferro of Fulton, Toni (Gerald) Hoyt of Fulton, and Mary (Chris) Halstead of Fulton, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 5:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. Private Burial with a graveside service will be held at Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal. Facial masks, hand sanitizing and capacity limits apply. People will be invited in as others exit in adherence with NYS mandates.
