Marian Grasso

Marian Grasso, 91, a former resident of East Albany Street, Oswego died Monday evening in St. Luke Health Services. Mrs. Grasso was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Salvatore and Carmela (Gerace) Cernaro. Mrs. Grasso was a cashier at Loblaw’s in Oswego. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Choir for more than forty-five years. Mrs. Grasso was predeceased by her husband Thomas Grasso in 1989, and her brothers and sisters Joseph Cernaro, Theresa Ciappa, Charles Cernaro, Benny Cernaro, Phil Cernaro, and Mary Cernaro. She is survived by two sons Thomas Grasso of Rosendale, NY, Joseph (Sue) Grasso of Rome, two daughters Teresa Grasso of Oswego, and Maryann (Michael) Masuicca of Oswego, eight grandchildren, J.Scott Tripp, Marianne Thomas, Michael John Masuicca, Molly Davis, Wolfe Lewis, Joseph Grasso, Angela Fecteau, and Joshua Grasso, eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 9:15 from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego, and 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Friday 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.  Contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Choir, or the Oswego YMCA.
