Helen L. “Aunt Helen” Bayley, 92; of Fulton passed away peacefully at Oswego Hospital, Oswego. She was born June 2nd 1924 to the late Watson and Margaret (Holmes) Brown of Fulton. She remained a lifetime resident of Fulton. Aunt Helen worked many years as a self-employed Private Duty Nurse’s Aide. She was a past member of the Fulton Historical Society, and a volunteer with the Salvation Army. Aunt Helen loved antiques and she would go antiquing and she dabbled as a part-time antique dealer. She enjoyed travelling with her niece Phyllis and her husband Jim for many years. There are many fond memories of drinks at the Pebble Beach Club, winning at the casinos in Las Vegas, NV; and attending several shows through the years. They were like the “three musketeers.” Helen was pre-deceased by her husband Francis Bayley, 2 siblings: Herbert Brown and Marjorie Brown Terramiggi. She is survived by her niece and longtime caregiver Phyllis Brown Utick of Fulton, and several great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., Fulton. In lieu of flowers Aunt Helen chose the following to be considered for donations: Oswego County Humane Society 29 W. Seneca St., Oswego, NY 13126; Oswego County Animal Welfare League PO Box 4, Oswego, NY 13126; and the Parkinson Foundation 1359 Broadway Rm. 1509, NY, NY 10018. The family of Aunt Helen would like to extend their sincerest thanks to: the staff at Bishop Commons, and St. Luke Health Services and especially to the 3rd FL. nurses and Dr. Udekwu at the Oswego Hospital for their kind and compassionate care that she received during this difficult time.

I am very sorry for your loss. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us at John 5:28,29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by “the God of all comfort” so we can have the assured hope of one day seeing our loved ones live again. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) May God bless the family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time. (Psalm 46:1)
