Samuel Sugar, 87, of Oswego died Sunday March 11, 2018 in St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. Mr. Sugar was born in Oswego the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Peraino) Sugar. He retired from the IBEW Local #328 and #43 after working at the nuclear plants, steam station, and many local construction sites, as an electrician. Mr. Sugar served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Dante Alighieri Lodge # 436, and the Golden Age. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Oswego, a member of the Blue Line Club, and he enjoyed attending Oswego State’s sporting events, especial hockey. Mr. Sugar is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Kay Sugar of Oswego, and their children Samuel J. Sugar of Oswego, Linda M. Sugar of Syracuse, grandson Christopher Sugar of Oswego, brother Phillip Sugar of PA. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and John Sugar. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian. Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego
