Ruth Hurlbut

Ruth Hurlbut, 97; of Fulton passed away peacefully at the Syracuse Veteran’s Administration Medical Center after a short illness. Mrs. Hurlbut was born in Oswego, NY to the late Walter and Edith (Hill) Killenbec. She was previously a resident of Florida and lived most of her life in Oswego County. Mrs. Hurlbut was a United States World War II Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp from 1944 to 1945. She was previously employed with Taggert, Oswego, Flexo Wire, Oswego and then she retired from Sealright, Co., Fulton where she worked as a Machine Operator. Mrs. Hurlbut enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edward Hurlbut and son David Simons. Mrs. Hurlbut is survived by her 2 children: Lois Rhines of Fulton, and Walt (Dianne) Simons of WA, 4 grandchildren: Christopher Rhines, Rachel Doty, David (Andrea) Simons and Deborah (Tom) McGraw; 8 great grandchildren: Ben Rhines, Chris Bonnell, Liam, and Abagail Roberge, Andrew Simons, Makayla, Bodan, and Halli McGraw, great great granddaughter Isabella Breckheimer and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services and Burial will be held privately. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.
