Robert W. Pawlewicz, 91 of Fulton, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family Monday, June 5,, 2023 at Crouse Hospital.
He was born in Syracuse on August 28, 1931, to the late Victor and Jane (Plucienski) Pawlewicz. After graduating from St. Lucy’s Academy, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Northwestern T.V. & Electronics Institute, MN and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota and Syracuse University. Robert married, Noretta Spaulding, the love of his life and they chose to make their permanent home in Fulton. Bob was a devoted catholic and active communicant with Holy Family Church and the combined Catholic Community.
He served as a member and past president of both the Holy Family Church Parish Council and the Parent-Teacher Guild of the Fulton Catholic School. Bob’s community service extended to serving as the Town of Granby Assessor, Councilman and supported the Granby Youth Program. After 28 years, he retired from the R.E. Dietz Company, Syracuse in 1990, as the Supervisor of Design Engineering. He was also a member of the Society of the American Value Engineering. Bob appreciated spending time with his family, reading, having a well-made meal and golfing.
He enjoyed having a cigar while playing a game of cards with his sons. Bob would close every family prayer with his wish that his family be “Happy, Healthy, Strong and Most of All Good”. The entire family lives by this infamous phrase. He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Richard, Reynold, Victor, Ginette Stamm and Jacqueline Argersinger.
He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Noretta Pawlewicz, and their ten children: Lorilee (Michael) Dempsey, Robert (Lisa) Pawlewicz, Debra Naioti, William (Denise) Pawlewicz, John (Anita) Pawlewicz, Julie (Patrick) Galvin, Sheryl (David) Spencer, Richard (Jennifer) Pawlewicz, Daniel (Julie) Pawlewicz, and Jennifer (Michael) Brown. Many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive him.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Canorro officiating.
Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling Hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY 13069.
At Bob’s request, instead of contributions to a charity “Give your spouse or someone you love a red rose.”

Dan, Julie and family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. We will be keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
What a great guy! what a great uncle! What a life! You will be missed, Uncle Bob. You were the heart of a family. What a gift you had to make anyone you met feel instantly seen and appreciated.

Such a wonderful man. I feel privileged to have spent some time with him and his sons on the golf course. I even got to see,first-hand, Mr. P. record a Hole-in-One.
So sorry to hear this news. I have such fond memories of the time I spent with Julie and her dad. Going to Darien Lake, eating tuna with miracle whip. He always made us laugh. Prayers to all of you at this time.

Very sorry to hear about Bob. Spent quite a lot of time talking at many sporting events. Thought very highly of him and all his wonderful family. Dan,Julie and Family, I am completely and utterly, so sorry for your loss. Mr. Pawlewitz was always welcoming and nice to me every time I saw him. Words can’t explain what a wonderful person he was he was a great man, a great husband, and a great father on many levels. My prayers will be with your family
