Rebecca P. Moody, 72; of Oswego, NY passed unexpectedly in her home Friday, March 27th, 2026. She was born in Shelby, Montana to the late Joseph (Betty) Cottrell and Georgia Frigon. Rebecca has been a longtime resident of Oswego, NY and Montana. She enjoyed working in hospitality and she was last employed at the Holiday Inn, Oswego. Mrs. Moody loved working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She was an animal lover and tried to never miss her favorite soap operas and more currently shows about homesteading. Mrs. Moody also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
She was pre-deceased by her brother: Vern Cottrell and her daughter: Tammy Weichman.
Mrs. Moody is survived by her husband of 41 years: Garth Moody of Martville, NY; 3 children: Gene (Angela) Moody of Great Falls, MT; Annette Moody of Havelock, NC; Miyah Moody of Oswego, NY; her son-in-law Jeremiah Weichman; her siblings: Jimmy Henry of Iowa, Yvonne Cottrell of MT, Sally Miller of MT, Vicki Podvin of MT, Dee Hartman of MT, Joe Cottrell of MT, Gary Cottrell and JoJo Skinner of MT. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kayleigh (Nate) Pigsley, Samantha (Jared) Rood, Miranda Anderson, Joshua Erkan, Christopher Stewart and Nicholas Stewart,13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no Calling Hours.
Burial will be held privately.
