Olga Hrynczuk, 91; of Fulton died at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY. She was born in Fulton to the late Michael and Tessie (Luszna) Hrynczuk. Miss Hrynczuk was licensed Registered Nurse. She previously worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital, Fulton Hospital, NY Hospital and the Cornel Medical Center. Miss Hrynczuk was a past communicant of St. Michael’s Church. She was pre-deceased by her brother Myron Hrynczuk in 2009. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., and 11:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 9:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Olga Hrynczuk was the nurse on duty in the delivery room at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital at the time of the births of my first two children. I was forever grateful for her kindness and care. She helped me both in the hospital and even made “house calls” after I returned home to make sure I was healing from the difficult deliveries. I am sure there are many Fultonians who counted on Olga’s medical knowledge and superb bedside manner. Olga was a family friend and remained so for life.
