Neil J. Samson, 75, of Oswego died Tuesday June 9, 2015 in the V.A. Medical Center, Syracuse after a short illness. He was born in Fulton the son of the late Harold and Flora Samson Sr. Neil worked for the Teamster’s Local # 317, at the Steam Station in Oswego. Later he worked at Master Bedroom, Fulton until his retirement. He served in the United States Army from 1963 until 1965. Neil enjoyed woodworking and was always puttering around with a project. In addition to his parents Neil was predeceased by his brother James Samson, and stepson Ronald Gulliver. He is survived by his significant other Karen Borek of Fulton, son Kevin L. Holliday of Oswego; stepchildren Kathy Johnson of Oswego; Robert (Barbara) Gulliver of Phoenix; Dale (Chrissy) Gulliver of Oswego; grandchildren Heather, Brittany, and Jordan Holliday. He is also survived by his siblings Harold (Rose) Samson of CA; Donald (Almeda) Samson of Fulton; Howard (Joan) Samson of Fulton; Ellen Woodruff of Fulton; Edna Taylor of AZ; Shirley (Rick) Hall of CA; and 21 nieces and nephews. Neil’s wishes were to have private services, and no calling hours. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
