Mary C. Taormino, 78; of Fulton died at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY. She was born to the late Peter and Emma (Prestia) Monteleone in Jersey City, NJ. She has been a resident of Fulton for 58 years. Mrs. Taormino retired from General Electric, Syracuse in 1974 after 20 years of employment. She went onto waitress at Salem House, Fulton and then began working with the Fulton Consolidated School District in the Custodial Department where she retired from after 20 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Phillip Taormino Sr. of Fulton, 4 children: Michelle (Keith) Vincent of Hannibal, NY, Phillip Taormino Jr. of Fulton, Linda (Scott) LeCuyer of NC, and Marie (Rod) Kouthoofd of Oswego, NY, 4 brothers: James Monteleone of NJ, Anthony Monteleone of Baldwinsville, NY, Alfred Monteleone, and John Monteleone both of Fulton, 7 grandchildren: Heather, Michael, Angela, Michelle, Alex, Ryan, and Bryce, 2 great grandsons: Joshua, and Jacob and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary ‘s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. Hi, We just learned last night, of Mary’s passing. So sorry to hear the news. She was a bright spot in this world and will be remembered fondly by many.
