Marcia L. Ukleya, 39, died Wednesday in Community Hospital, Syracuse. Marcia was born in Oswego the daughter of Joseph and Loretta (Malone) Ukleya. She worked for the United States Department of Defense in Arlington, VA, as an auditor. Marcia was predeceased by her grandparents Louise Malone and Ed Ukleya. She is survived by her parents Joseph and Loretta (Malone) Ukleya of Hannibal, brother Tom (Mari) Ukleya of Clay, sister Amy (Dan) Pepper of Hannibal, grandparents Leonard Malone and Dorothy Ukleya, her nieces and nephews Kurt, Owen, Logan, and Makenzie, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be Monday 8:15 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego and 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
The staff at Upstate Orthopedics were shocked and saddened to hear of Marcia’s passing. So many of us knew Marcia and enjoyed seeing her here at her visits, and we will cherish her handiwork that she brought in. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marcia’s family.
