Louis “Jim” Bailey Jr.

Louis “Jim” Bailey Jr.  76, of Oswego died Friday in the Oswego Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Bailey was born in Oswego and has been a lifetime resident. He worked for Oswego Castings for twenty-one years as a machinist, and then worked at Oberdorfers in Syracuse. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Bailey is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years Ann Bailey of Oswego and his step daughter Christine (David) Goodwin of Oswego, brother Fred Bailey of Florida, and sisters Theresa Panetti of Florida and Evelyn Brooks of Oswego, his grandchildren Morgan and Matthew, and several niece and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, with Deacon Joseph Chillemi. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
