Kathryn E. Younis, 86; of Fulton, NY passed Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
She was born in Fulton, NY to the late John and Kathryn (Hanley) LeVea. Mrs. Younis remained a lifetime resident of Fulton. She retired from Hutamaki, Fulton, NY where she worked as a supervisor. Mrs. Younis loved being a member of the local Corvette Club and being an active member of her church. First and foremost, Family was Everything.
Mrs. Younis was pre-deceased by her husband Habeeb “Joe” Younis in 1980.
She is survived by their 6 children: Leah (Liam) Younis-Woods of East Syracuse, NY; Patty (Tim) Younis McElroy of Minoa, NY; Marianne Younis, H. Joseph Younis and Kathryn (Dave) Younis Bouchard all of Fulton, NY; and Sharon (Larry) Younis Cosser of Fairhaven, NY; her sister: Anne Grassi of Fulton, NY; 6 grandchildren: Michaline (Adam,) Peter, Tyler, Nicole (Shawn,) Emily and Cody; and 5 great grandchildren: Logan, Lila, Parker, Weston and Mackson and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, NY.
Kay was a great person. She was always kind and her smile lit up a room. Deepest sympathy and condolences to all her family.
