Kathleen D. Johnson, 62, of Oswego Town died Saturday in the Oswego Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Phillip and Kathleen (Rinaldo) Cherchio. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Cherchio and stepson Ronald Johnson. Mrs. Johnson retired in 2005 as a secretary from the Oswego City School District. She was a member of the CSEA. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of five years Paul Johnson of Oswego Town, her brother Kenneth (Deborah) Cherchio of Lycoming, and sisters Anne (Larry) Forbes of Mexico, Phyllis (Gary) Richardson of Oswego, Marjorie (Kevin Hiltz) Cherchio of Oswego, her stepson Paul A. Johnson Jr, of Syracuse, and stepdaughter Linda (Tim) Mowry of Virginia, seven step grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 9:30 in St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Andrew Baranski. Spring burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
