John P. Hegmann, 72; of Syracuse died at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Syracuse. Mr. Hegmann was born in Mineola, NY and he has been a resident of Syracuse since 2012. He was a United States Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hegmann was past employed with the Department of Public Safety, Long Island, NY as a Custodian. He additionally had worked in retail as a stockman. Mr. Hegmann is survived by his children Michael (Ellen Merriam) Hegmann of Oswego, and Maureen Hegmann of TN, his sister Trudy Hegmann of Mineola, NY and 4 grandchildren: Maylynn, Shawn, Nico, and Stephanie Hegmann.
