John F. Garvey 89, of Fulton died Saturday May 30, 2015, at his home after a short illness. Mr. Garvey was born in Manhattan, the son of the late John and Mary (Cox) Garvey, and he has been a resident of Fulton since 1994. He was a financial controller for Sears-Roebuck in NYC, and J. C. Penney in NYC. Mr. Garvey served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Garvey in 2004. Mr. Garvey is survived by his children Dianne Garvey of MA, John Garvey of Fulton, Daniel (Patricia) Garvey of NJ, and Stephen (Amy) Garvey of Fulton. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Gaff, and grandchildren Kyla, Tara, Jake, Ben, and Sara. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc. 224 W. 2nd. St S. Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton
