Gaetino “Tink” Paura

Gaetino “Tink” Paura, 81 of Scriba died Tuesday December 3, 2024 in the Oswego Hospital after a short illness.

Tink was born in Sicily, Italy the son of the late Guiseppi and Mary (Colloca) Paura. He was a meatcutter at Loblaws, and A & P Foods in Oswego for many years. He also worked and retired from Coca Cola in Liverpool as the refrigeration repair specialist.  He was a member of the DA Lodge, Elks Club, and the Moose Pond Hunting & Fishing LLC. Tink was an avid hunter, fisherman, he enjoyed camping, but most of all he thoroughly enjoyed working.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 40 years Joyce Duvall of Scriba, her son Raymond (Jodi) Duvall, and his siblings Vera Bonacorsi of Oswego, Santino “Sam” (Margaret) Paura of Oswego, and his sister-in-law Carol Paura of Oswego. He was grandpa to Samantha Ciullo, Evelyn Fellows, and David Duvall. He is also survived by his great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gaetino was predeceased by his brothers Anthony Paura in 1968, and Bart Paura in 2017.

A Mass of Christian of burial will be Monday 10:00 AM at CTGS at St. Joseph’s Church, Oswego.

Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum, Oswego.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th St., Oswego.
