Ethel F. Chubb

Ethel F. Chubb, 97; of Fulton died at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. She was born to the late James and Mabel (Dalgleish) Inch in Radina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mrs. Chubb immigrated to the USA in 1922 and has been a resident of Fulton since 1936 and she became an American citizen in 1960. Mrs. Chubb worked as a home manager at the Phi Delta Chi house, Oswego and she was a kitchen manager with Headstart, and Battle Island. She was also past employed with Sealright, Nestles and Victoria Papermill, Fulton. Mrs. Chubb was pre-deceased by her 1st husband Charles Spaulding in 1969, and her 2nd husband Jim Chubb in 1986. She was also pre-deceased by a special friend Howard Guyer and siblings: Harvey Inch, Harry Inch, Verna Harper, and Beatrice Payne. Mrs. Chubb is survived by her children: Jean (David) Buske of Webster, NY, and Lawrence (Dolores Martin) Spaulding of Ogdensburg, NY and FL., 1 sister Myrtle Taber of Hannibal Center, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, special friends Suzanne Cronin and

Gerald Guyer, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Rev. Chuck Forbes officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Bundyville Cemetery, Minetto, NY. Calling hours will be conduced 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc. The family has request that donations be made in Ethel Chubb’s name to St. Luke Health Services 299 E. River Rd. Oswego, NY 13126

  1. Jean and Larry: My thoughts are with you and your families today. I am sorry I could not be there but I may be able to make the spring memorial. SHe is in a better place now and free at last from painand worry.

  2. I was saddened to learn only today of the passing of Ethel. She was married to my mother’s brother James. My mother (Marian Chubb Ladd) and Ethel remained close even tho mom was here with me in North Carolina. I spoke to her many times over the ten years mom was here. I lost my mom a year ago at 92, and now Ethel has gone on to join her. I’m very sorry for the loss of this sweet creative lady.
