Emmeline M. Peters, 92; of Baldwinsville, NY passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Roy and Myrtle (Sevier) Slater and enjoyed being raised in a large family including her 6 sisters and 1 brother. Emmeline was an extremely strong woman, and a fiercely protective and loving mother who independently raised her five children. She loved to play Bunco with friends, and crochet and knit. She was and active senior citizen and even into her nineties Emmeline acted as the driver of her younger friends when there were activities to attend.
She was pre-deceased by her son James Peters and survived by her 4 children: Carolyn (Harry) Klinert of Phoenix, NY; William Peters of Baldwinsville, NY; Larry Peters of Oswego, NY; and Edward (Theresa) Peters of Fulton. Emmeline was also a beloved grandmother to Amanda, Marissa, Cory, and great grandma to Addie and Ellie.
Funeral Service and Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be conducted 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. Please be aware that facial masks and hand sanitizing are required.
Due to NYS mandated capacity limits visitors will be invited in as people exit.
