Ella Shatraw, 80 of Oswego died Monday November 11, 2024 peacefully at the home of her longtime caregiver and granddaughter Bianca (Michael) Buskey, with her family at her side.
She was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Leighton and Dorothy (Laflame) Baker. Mrs. Shatraw was retired from the Oswego Hospital housekeeping department, were she worked for over twenty years. Her husband John F. Shatraw Sr. predeceased her, in 2024, and daughter Theresa Seltzer. She loved having family gathering with everyone around enjoying a meal, talking, and sharing memories.
Mrs. Shatraw is survived by her children John (Tina Caplette) Shatraw Jr. of Oswego; Mary Shatraw of Oswego, Mark (Teri) Shatraw of Oswego, Carolyn Bristol of Oswego; Cindy (Larry) Young of Oswego; Shad (Michelle) Shatraw of Oswego; Jacqueline (Amber) Szymanski-Lomire of Oswego, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great granchildren.
Funeral Service and burial will be Friday 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th St., Oswego.
