Diane Haynes, 41; of Concord, NC died Thursday at The Carolina’s Northeast Medical Center, NC. Ms. Haynes was born in Oswego and she was a resident of Oswego for many years. She was a past member of the Oswego American Legion, The Moose Lodge, the Elk’s Club, and the Oswego VFW. Ms. Haynes was also an avid softball player. She was pre-deceased by her finance Peter James Fiore in 2009. Ms. Haynes is survived by her daughters: Nicole Haynes of the USS McCampbell, Japan; and Emily Weaver of NC, 2 brothers: Fred “Wolf” Haynes, Richard “Dickie” Haynes, 2 sisters: Kathy Haynes, and Elaine Scortino all of Oswego, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 6:00 PM in the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St. Oswego, NY. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 6:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home. The family of Diane Haynes would like to invite you to a celebration of her life following the service at the VFW 2320 East Post, Oswego, NY.

She was a great kid and I was very Proud to have her for a neighbor and I was very proud to be her softball coach… she was funny. loving. and a great person to be around…May god be with you in your sorrow and may you remember the good times and the laughs and that will help you through your sorrow… May you all take care and know that I am thinking of you…..
