Dennis Longley, 77; of Fulton, NY passed peacefully at home Sunday, September 14th, 2025.
He was born in Fulton, NY to the late Earl and Dorothy (Garrett) Longley. Dennis remained a lifetime resident of Fulton, NY. In 1947, Dennis’ family began Longley Bros., Inc., Fulton. As a second-generation owner/operator he successfully grew the business and was currently working with his son Douglas Longley who represents the third generation and is currently the owner/operator. Dennis’ passion was drag racing both as a fan and driver at Esta Safety Park, Cicero, NY. He was known for racing his pride and joy; his award- winning 64 Plymouth Sport Fury. Dennis was an APA member and enjoyed playing pool for 40+ years and participating with several leagues. He was also an avid Harley rider for many years.
Dennis is survived by: his longtime companion and better half: Nan Jacobson of Fulton, NY; his 2 children: Amanda Marie Gentry of VA and Douglas Earl (Jennifer) Longley of Fulton, his sister: Carol Sanzotta of Rochester, NY and his 5 grandchildren: Morgan Gentry, Victoria Gentry, Caleb Gentry, Aiden Longley and Emma Longley and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
The Longley Family would like to invite family and friends to bring their favorite “ride” and share in a Celebration of Life from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 21st at Longley Bros., Inc. 1698 County Route 57, Fulton, NY.
Burial will be held privately.
Dennis was a longtime supporter of Fulton Wrestling and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fulton Wrestling Club/c/o Andy Hammond, Pres., 940 Emery St., Fulton, NY 13069.
