David R. Powers, 32; of Fulton died Saturday at Oswego Hospital. He was born in Oswego, NY and he has been a resident of Fulton for 4 years. Mr. Powers worked at Birdseye, Fulton since 2002. He enjoyed playing pool, NASCAR, Football, riding motorcycles with his brother and spending time with his family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Leroy Powers in 2008. Mr. Powers is survived by his wife of 10 years Danyel M. Powers of Fulton, his son David Powers, Jr., of Fulton, his mother Rose Powers of Mexico, his brothers and sister: Michael D. (Tammy) Currier, Kimberly M. (Tim) Paige, Donald L. (Wendy) Currier, and Kenneth W. (Stephanie) Dingman, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside Services and Burial will be held 9:00 AM Monday, June 7th at Vermillion Cemetery with Rev. Sandra Stevens officiating. Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 2nd at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. Contributions may be made the American Diabetes Assoc. What a shock! Our sincere condolences to the Powers family. Rose our hearts are with you. Dave was loved by our family and he always remembered us by bringing the little guy over every Halloween. We will miss him. So very very sorry.

Danielle (and Powers family) my deepest sympathy. Dave was a great guy who made the time fly when we worked at Syroco. Since I’ve moved to Houston I’ve lost track of many friends so it came as a shock to read about Dave.
