Cecelia Shambo, 94; formerly of 205 W. 3rd St. Fulton, NY died Thursday at Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton. She was born in Fulton and she has been a resident of Fulton all of her life. Mrs. Shambo was a past employee of the Fulton Woolen Mill. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the St. Michael’s Rosary Society. She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter Shambo in 2000. Mrs. Shambo is survived by her children Eugene (Sandra) Shambo of NH, and Kristine (Rodney) Sidon of Phoenix, 1 granddaughter Sheri Whitworth and 1 grandson Shawn Shambo, 4 great grandsons: Grant and Luke Shambo and Mac and Adain Whitworth and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 9:30 am Monday at Holy Family Church where Rev. Stephen Wirkes will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. There will be no calling hours. Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

I always enjoyed talking with your mom and you at St. Michael’s Church. Coincidently, I was looking at a picture of your mom taken at the Shambo-Okoniewski reunion just the other day. It brought back such nice memories.
