Catherine Debane, 100, of Liberty St. Oswego died Tuesday in St. Luke Health Services. Catherine was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Patsy and Angeline Debane. She was a graduate of the Oswego Schools. Catherine worked for Odsted and Rayon Manufacturing Companies, and she later retired from Alma Foundation. Catherine was a dedicated volunteer devoting her time since 1940 at St Joseph Rectory and Church. Catherine was a trustee at St. Joseph Church, and received the honor of parishioner of the year. Catherine was honored by the late Bishop David Cunningham by being the recipient of a plaque acknowledging her many years of devoted service at St. Joseph Church. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Society, and the RSVP at SUNY Oswego. She was honored with her sixty-five year pin as a member of the Catholic Daughter of America Court Pere Bishop Cunningham. Catherine was a loyal volunteer at St. Joseph’s Festival, and St. Joseph Bingo. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Patsy Debane, and sisters Rose Debane, Annette Bostock, Tina Gandino. Catherine is survived by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 8:15 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego and 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego
