George Bethlendy Jr., 61; of Sterling, NY passed peacefully with his wife by his side; Tuesday, October 7th, 2025; at Oswego Hospital, Oswego after a short illness.
George was born in Hungary to Lujza Bethlendy of Pittsford, NY and the late George Bethlendy. Mr. Bethlendy immigrated to America with his family in 1976. He was a longtime resident of Pittsford, NY and moved to his current home in Sterling, NY; 4 years ago. Mr. Bethlendy owned and operated Flower City Masonry, Rochester, NY for 30+ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. George loved spending time with his family, friends and being an active part of his community.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Zsuzsa Bethlendy of Sterling, NY, their son: Mitchell Bethlendy of PA; and stepson: Krisztian Nagy of Rochester, NY; his brother: Gabor Bethlendy of MA and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be conducted privately.
There will be no Calling Hours.
