Ruby H. Smith

Ruby H. Smith, 75; of Fulton, NY passed unexpectedly Sunday at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Ruby was born in Lubec, ME to the late William Jones and Agnes Bernard.  Mrs. Smith has been resident of Fulton, NY for most of her life and she was a longtime member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, Volney, NY.  Ruby was past employed as a Supervisor with KBC, Fulton, NY.  She was a crafter and enjoyed tending to her flowers.  Ruby had a passion for couponing and saving money and she loved teaching others how to be successful couponers.  Mrs. Smith and her husband enjoyed many years motorcycling together.  Ruby and her husband met at the early age of 13.  They became friends and were inseparable during their school years and enjoyed 59 years of marriage including 24/7 since 1982 when medical issues forced early retirement.

She is survived by the love of her life:  Daniel James Smith III of Fulton, their son:  Daniel James Smith IV, and daughter and son-in-law:  Danette and Harry Meeker of Fulton.  Ruby was the oldest of ten and was a sister and mother to her siblings:  Chuck Jones, Youdora (Ed) Sobecki, Mary Ann Soble, Rose Ann Rogers, Graham Soble, and Arlene Libby; and those siblings who pre-deceased her:  William Terry Jones, Deanna Leonard and Arlene Jones.

Ruby is also survived by her beloved grandchildren:  Dawn Smith, Jacob (Shanice) Osborn, Daniel (Monica) Smith V, Karlee Nichols, Nicholas (Taylor) Osborn, Dustin Smith, and Eva-Mae Meeker and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services and Burial will be held privately.
