Katherine P. Castiglia, 90, of Minetto, passed on July 28, 2024 at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego.
She was born in Vineland, New Jersey, to the late Michael and Frances Mazzola. Katherine met Jim Castiglia while he was in the navy stationed in Egg Harbor, NJ, and were married in 1952. In 1958 they moved to Jim’s home town Minetto, NY where they lived, and raised their family for 70 years, until Jim’s passing in 2023. Katherine loved to go shopping, knitting, and sharing a well-prepared meal with her family.
She is survived by her son Jim (Cindy) Castiglia of Minetto, her grandchildren Nicole (Mike) Jenson, Samantha (Jon) Campbell, Jennifer Kuriger, and Jamie Castiglia. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Dieonté, Zoey, Aviana, Kaylee, Rachel, Derek, Dakota, Aiden, and her brother Richard (Carmella) Mazzola of NJ.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband James Castiglia, daughter Linda Castiglia, and grandsons Michael Castiglia, and James Castiglia Jr.
Services will be held privately.
