Michael W. Bellardini, 61 of Oswego died on December 23, 2023, at Oswego Hospital, Oswego, NY.
Born in Oswego, NY to the late Joseph and Jean (Hutchinson) Bellardini. Mike resided in Oswego most of his life where he had many lifelong friends. Mike worked at Oswego Industries for many years as well as attended OCO’s Day Hab Program. Mike enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and the Oswego Industries Bowling League. It was often said that there wasn’t a stranger that Mike didn’t know or kept a smile to oneself. He never turned down an invitation to go out with friends & family. Mike was most proud of his family heritage and loved to share pictures with anyone who wanted to look at them. Mike enjoyed playing jokes on people and drawing portraits of those he cared about most. Mike appreciated all kinds of music but especially loved Rock & Roll. Live music was his favorite where you would always find him front and center playing air guitar having the time of his life. Mike loved cats especially his dearly departed cat, Zoey. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Jean Bellardini, sister, Debra (Bellardini) Emal, and sister, Mary Jean Bellardini.
Mike is survived by his brother, Joseph (Krista) Belladonna of Camillus, Cousin, and dear friend, Mary Jean (Terpening) Sanderson as well as many cousins and friends. Mike valued all of the friendships and bonds that he made through the course of his life. Mike enjoyed life, family, and friends. He was always there to crack a joke, do an impersonation, just to brighten the lives of others.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
To honor Mike’s memory, take a minute to enjoy life in the moment. Sing out loud, dance like no one is watching and splurge on a Cherry Pepsi and Reese’s Peanut butter cups.
The arrangements are in the care of Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.

It is extremely painful to hear of Mikey’s passing.
Mikey was authentically pure love and joy to everyone who was fortunate to have really known him, he had the best caring staff, that is second to none. His staff caregivers Jess, Jamie , Allison,Kristin ensured he was always properly cared for and was treated as family. He had a very kind, loving cousin Maryjean Terpening who was his voice when he didn’t have one and ensured he always had what he needed and loved him to the moon and beyond, bringing him to his favorite places, including but not limited to Canale’s and Rudy’s. Your Aunt and Uncle are so relieved that you were always there for Mikey. I feel so blessed to have rekindled our friendship and connection throughout the years and so thankful that I was able to speak with him one last time on December 15/23.
Mikey was so witty and would be the light in any room, as I write this I hear him saying “You got that right “ and his other phrase “No funny business “ as well as his name for Maryjean’s husband Matt was Kojack.
To the incredible caring staff at Bronson Street, Maryjean and Joey, I am profoundly saddened for our loss.
Mikey will forever hold my heart. Yes Mikey, I got that right, my sweet friend and good human. Mikey will always be just a thought away and always a beat in my heart.
